I recently discovered Livestrong.com during class (lecture was particularly boring that day). While I set my goal to lose 1/2 pound per day, I'm really more motivated to track my calories out of curiosity. I mean I really have no clue how much I eat. Maybe this will be revealing and help me make better food choices. Here are the sad results from my first day:
"You are about 1,834 calories over your recommended daily level for February 23rd, 2012.
"Your total calories consumed for this day: 4,038 [and burned off 204, leaving you with a net of 3,834 calories].
The truth is that this is not my typical daily caloric intake, but it is pretty funny that this is how I did my first day. Every day since then I have been over my calories, but not as much. Today is the first day that I'm actually under my calorie goal:
More than anything my left-brained nature is fascinated by all the statistics, graphs, and analyses that can be produced with a relatively small amount of daily input. Pretty cool!
